Financial & Engineering Disclaimers
Effective Date: January 1, 2026 | Last Revised: August 2026
Please read these Disclaimers carefully before using any interactive calculators, financial return models, equipment specifications, or technical guides provided on SolarPrice.Asia (https://solarprice.asia).
1. Not Certified Financial or Tax Advice
All financial calculations, return on investment (ROI) metrics, levelized cost of energy (LCOE) figures, monthly electricity bill reduction estimates, and payback period projections presented on SolarPrice.Asia are generated purely for general educational and preliminary budgeting purposes.
None of the information or calculation outputs on this website constitutes certified financial, investment, accounting, or tax advice. Solar financial models are based on standard mathematical formulas incorporating assumed variables, such as:
- A constant or modeled annual escalation rate for utility tariffs (e.g. 5% per year). Actual electricity tariff hikes decided by regulatory authorities (NEPRA, MNRE, ERC, DEWA) may be substantially higher or lower.
- Standard photovoltaic module power degradation curves (e.g. 1.0% in Year 1 and 0.40% annually thereafter).
- Consistent sunlight irradiation and average peak sun hours based on regional meteorological history, which can fluctuate with seasonal weather anomalies, monsoons, and urban smog.
- 100% feed-in credit realization without grid curtailment or administrative settlement deductions by local distribution companies (DISCOs).
Actual monetary returns will vary based on your real meter billing tier, local fuel adjustment charges (FPA), quarterly tariff revisions, financing interest rates, and physical system uptime. Consult an independent financial advisor or certified energy accountant before entering into major debt or lease obligations.
2. Equipment Price Volatility & Distributor Quotations
The per-watt solar panel rates, inverter costs, and lithium battery prices displayed on SolarPrice.Asia represent market surveys collected from authorized distributors, wholesale importers, and installers in regional commercial centers (including Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, New Delhi, Mumbai, Dhaka, Manila, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, and Dubai).
These rates are indicative benchmarks and are subject to continuous change due to:
- Global supply and demand dynamics of polysilicon raw materials, silver paste, and solar cell manufacturing yields.
- Ocean freight container rates and port customs clearance fees.
- Exchange rate volatility between local currencies (PKR, INR, BDT, PHP, VND, IDR, MYR, THB, AED, SAR) and the US Dollar.
- Individual EPC installer overheads, mounting structure custom fabrication costs, and local warranty support margins.
SolarPrice.Asia does not sell equipment directly and does not guarantee that any distributor or installer will match the surveyed rates on any specific date. Always request a written, formal, itemized quotation from a verified local solar contractor before committing funds.
3. Structural & Civil Engineering Responsibilities
The roof area estimations provided by our Load Sizer and ROI tools are geometric approximations based on standard 585W TOPCon module physical dimensions (approx. 2.278m × 1.134m = 2.58 m² per panel) and necessary maintenance spacing.
Before installing physical structures on any residential or commercial roof:
- A certified civil or structural engineer must conduct an on-site structural audit to verify whether the roof slab, girders, or metal purlins can support the dead load of solar modules plus elevated mounting steel, as well as extreme live wind uplift loads.
- In coastal or typhoon-prone regions (such as the Philippines, Vietnam, and Southern Bangladesh), structural designs must be engineered to withstand wind gusts exceeding 200 km/h (Category 4/5 typhoon ratings).
- Proper waterproofing techniques must be employed around anchor bolts to prevent roof leakage and structural corrosion.
4. High-Voltage Electrical Safety & Grid Interconnection
Solar photovoltaic arrays operate at lethal direct-current (DC) voltages, often ranging from 300V to 1,000V DC in residential and commercial string setups. Direct current arcs do not extinguish naturally and represent serious fire and electrocution hazards if installed improperly.
We strongly emphasize that:
- All electrical installations must be performed by certified, licensed electrical technicians in strict compliance with national electrical wiring codes (e.g. IEC 60364, NFPA 70).
- Dedicated DC disconnect switches, DC surge protective devices (SPDs), and appropriately sized DC circuit breakers (MCCB/MCBs) must be installed between the array and inverter.
- A dedicated copper earth boring with ground electrical resistance strictly tested below 5 Ohms must be established for system earthing and lightning protection.
- Grid-tied inverters must possess verified anti-islanding certification to automatically disconnect from the grid within milliseconds during a power outage, protecting utility line workers from lethal backfeed.
5. Government Subsidies & Net Metering Approval Disclaimer
Information regarding government subsidies (such as PM Surya Ghar in India, AEDB incentives in Pakistan, or SEDA NEM 3.0 in Malaysia) and net metering green meter connections is provided based on published regulatory documentation.
However, final net metering approvals, transformer capacity sanctions, and subsidy disbursements are entirely subject to the discretion of local utility distribution companies and government ministries. SolarPrice.Asia has no influence over utility application timelines, inspection outcomes, or policy amendments.
6. No Endorsement or Manufacturer Affiliation
Unless explicitly stated, SolarPrice.Asia is an independent publication. References to specific manufacturer brands (such as LONGi, Jinko Solar, Canadian Solar, JA Solar, Huawei, Growatt, Deye, Sungrow, Pylontech) or local EPC installers do not constitute an endorsement, sponsorship, or exclusive partnership. Users are urged to perform their own independent due diligence regarding product warranties, local service centers, and installer certifications.
